Braised Tofu

Prepare the tofu

Cut tofu into 5-6cm cubes, sprinkle with salt, let sit for 5 minutes, then pat dry.

Pan-fry tofu

Heat oil in a pan, fry tofu until golden on both sides, remove and set aside.

Stir-fry aromatics

Add a little oil, sauté garlic, ginger, and red bell pepper until fragrant.

Add tofu & seasonings

Carefully return tofu, add soy sauce, dark soy sauce, sugar, cooking wine, and water/broth.

Simmer
Cover with lid, simmer on low heat for 5-8 minutes to let tofu absorb flavors.

Sprinkle green onions, drizzle sesame oil, and serve.
